Patrick Hanlin is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist living and working out of Boston, Mass.
After two decades studying with musical stalwarts like Dave DiCenso (Duran Duran, Josh Grobin), Kenwood Dennard (Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie), and Dane Clark (John Mellencamp) Pat hit the road, touring extensively thru the US and internationally as a Vic Firth-endorsed drummer and multi-instrumentalist. Pat's played many nifty venues and festivals like SXSW, Mile High Stadium, Wolftrap Theatre, Comcast Center (a couple of those actually!), The Gorge Ampitheatre, House of Blues Boston and Annaheim, and Austin City Limits.
Pat’s opened for some cool bands too, like Dropkick Murpheys, The Roots, Dillinger Escape Plan, Dave Matthews, Hall & Oates, Frank Turner, and Jack Johnson.
As producer/director of Jamhouse Records, Pat's worked with incredible organizations like Barack Obama's Mentorship Program, the NBA and MLB, Northeastern U, and the Life is Good Company and won awards like the International Songwriting Competition, American Songwriting Awards and fielded an impressive three Grand Prize wins in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for his recording and co-writes with singer and kickass American Ninja Warrior Josh Shriber. Dozens of their songs have charted on Sirius XM and other "Kindie" stations.
You may or may not find Pat listening to Bob Dylan, Tame Impala, Chance the Rapper, Every Time I Die, Ravel, Tom Waits (mostly the old stuff these days), STP, and Aretha Franklin all in the same day. He blames it on his ADHD.
